The Community of Compassion is a woman-led spiritual and educational organization dedicated to ethics, conscious leadership, and responsible spiritual education. We bring together science-informed learning, ancestral wisdom, and compassionate community to support personal growth, reflection, and intentional living.
Specific sacramental teachings are shared within our members-only programs.

Allison DiPalo MSW, MBA-HRM, Founder
Allison DiPalo is the founder of Community of Compassion Church Inc. and a leader in spiritual education, ethics, and systems-based program design. She brings a multidisciplinary background in science, social work, business affairs, and instructional design, with a long-standing focus on trauma-informed practice, neurological inquiry, and compassionate leadership.
Her professional experience spans over two decades working in complex care environments, including geriatrics and extended care, with a sustained interest in the brain, trauma, and human resilience. Allison is deeply committed to policy awareness, ethical responsibility, and alignment with evidence-informed educational frameworks.
Drawing from both academic training and ancestral wisdom traditions, Allison integrates contemplative practices, reflective education, and holistic leadership principles into the organization’s programs. She is also trained in energy-based modalities and mindful movement practices, which inform her approach to spiritual education and community support.
As Founder and Executive Director, Allison oversees the organization’s vision, educational standards, and operational integrity, ensuring that all offerings remain grounded in ethics, responsibility, and compassionate service.

Dawn Cross, RN — Co-Founder
Dawn is a Registered Nurse, co-founder of Compassion Caps, and a core leader within the Community of Compassion Church’s educational outreach initiatives. With over 30 years of nursing experience, Dawn brings deep clinical insight, steady presence, and a profound commitment to compassionate, ethical care.
Her professional background spans pediatric oncology, emergency medicine, home care, and trauma surgery, with the last 15 years spent in a Level One Trauma Center operating room. In addition to her clinical career, Dawn has volunteered for more than three decades with Special Days Camp, a pediatric oncology camp serving children with cancer and their families.
Dawn’s personal journey and professional experience inform her dedication to education, harm-reduction principles, and trauma-informed leadership. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed or stuck, and to creating educational environments rooted in dignity, safety, and hope.
As Director of Education and Program Oversight, Dawn supports curriculum development, educational standards, and internal quality practices, ensuring that all programs reflect responsibility, compassion, and integrity. Her leadership embodies the belief that meaningful change is possible through care, community, and intentional learning.
